2.1 According to many today isn’t evolution scientific and creation unscientific?
It might surprise you that when fully investigated creation is found to be scientific and evolution is found to be not scientific. Creation can stand up to investigation and explains truths in life whereas evolution has a number of missing facts in it that people are not told about. There are various creation websites and books that show how creation and science go together and that evolution is a scientific fraud and intellectual deception. A few of them can be seen at this link.
2.2 Isn’t God really unknowable?
Agnostics think that just as no bird has ever been known to fly out into space, so no one has with our finite, or limited, minds, been able to penetrate the veil that hides the infinite. Consequently the infinite cannot be known by human beings. While the first statement is true the second is not. It concludes, without giving sound reasons for doing so, that the infinite is incapable of expression to finite people who are constantly expressing themselves to each other and to animals. Does this not bring the term “infinite”, i.e. without limits in understanding and power etc, down to nonsensical ideas? The Bible shows that Jesus Christ was the perfect revelation of God on the earth (2a-2g).
2.3 Isn’t God out of date and irrelevant?
While we have made tremendous strides in the sciences and technology etc, any academic or material improvement in society does not necessarily bring wisdom. The basic needs of the human race have not really changed. It is those needs that God, through Jesus Christ, came to answer and has already done so in millions of peoples’ lives, both past and present.
